I am now thinking about upgrading the firmware(Raid controller, ILO, BIOs etc) on the server now and it seems the latest HP service pack doesn't support this specific model. I have increased the RAM on the server to 32 GB and it has been working reasonably well. I have a few different guest OSs running on it and am using it for testing several applications. I have an old HP DL 380 G5 server I got from work on which I have installed ESXi 6.0. Is there anyway to update the firmware on the drives with the OS been online? When I turn the server off an back on it comes up with firmware update message and eventually I get missing NTLDR. I removed the drives and try to install the OS, when it gets to the Windows restarting, the screens goes blank and nothing happens. ![]() ![]() I try installing the file to a USB stick it does not recognize it. I have download the Firmware to a bootable CD DVD and it won't boot it from it. Now when I try to install an OS onto the post comes up with an error message that says you must upgrade the flashrom for harddrives model _ then it boots to NTLDR missing. I have a D元60 that I have update the ROMpaq, and firmware for P400i Array Controller. ![]() Software updates are distributed by HP Services to customers with support. Hewlett Packard Proliant D元20 G5 Server Quickspecs. The server has on board HP NC326i PCIe Dual Port Gigabit Server Adapter networking which I updated to the latest firmware yesterday.
